Tobin Snapshots

Last week, the 282 patio received new patio furniture: logs! The Kennedy Family kindly donated 16 stumps from New Hampshire to give the 282 patio a new look. The children have been using the logs as seating during outdoor lessons, tables during outdoor lunch, and balance structures during patio recess. We're excited to find out all of the ways they can be used! Also last week, 282 received plants and flowers from the Manoucherifar Family to help clean the air in our classroom. The children found spots around the class to place the plants and practiced flowering arranging to create beautiful floral displays around the room. We LOVE that nature can help us be healthy and learn both in and outside of our classroom! See photos above.

School Store

Our school will be participating in the SchoolStore program this year. This online program helps our school earn cash without students selling door-to-door, collecting money or delivering products. Over 400 merchants, including Family Bookstore, Kohl's and WalMart, have joined together to give back up to 50% of all sales to our school just for shopping through SchoolStore.com.

To shop and support our school, simply go to www.schoolstore.com and select our school.

Participation is key in helping get the word out about our School Store. Soon your child will come home with a parent letter requesting you to help them enter email addresses to friends and family. When you enter email addresses, you'll receive a prize code your child can return the next day for a prize. Thank you for your families' support of our school!

3-Year-Old Lottery

I have attached a form for 3-year-olds who are entering the lottery with siblings. Please fully complete the form as soon as possible (if you haven't already done so) so that I can gather the appropriate information to ensure proper placement in the lottery.

Online Registration for Sibling Families: Don’t miss this opportunity – if you currently have an older child attending this school, you can receive “sibling bonus points" in the 3-year old Lottery but ONLY if you apply between October 5th - 30th. We encourage families to submit their application through our online registration system. Sibling families need to upload and submit the following documents via our online system: child's birth certificate, utility bill (dated within last 30 days), parent I.D. and child's immunization record - no lease /deed is necessary for sibling families. If you have difficulty uploading your documents please feel free to let me know or contact the SRC directly.

Paper Application: Submitting your application online is the quickest and most efficient way to get us your application. However, for families who prefer a paper application it is also available for download online. If you need a paper copy, you can also email the Student Registration Center (SRC). Once you complete your application with all required documents, you can forward it to me and I will submit it for you.
