Ways to Help Your Students Process
the Election – SHARE Model
Wondering how to help your students process the news and what they’re seeing in the election? The SHARE Model can be a helpful way to walk your students through events and help them feel supported. Teachers will be using this in the Literacy Block with students on Wednesday to help students reflect on what they are thinking and feeling around election news.
School Council Update
We had a wonderful conversation today about the continued endorsement of Courageous Conversations with our partner School Councils at the Peabody and Baldwin schools. Please click here or check the RAUC website tomorrow for the notes.
Tech Corner
When you need help with your computer, taking a screenshot of the problem can help us help you faster! Here's how to take a screenshot on a Chromebook or other device.
If your Chromebook is broken in any way, take it to the Mobile Help Desk! The Help Desk is open Mon.-Fri. 8AM-4PM, and Sat. 8AM-2PM. They're located at CRLS, Felton St side. Go to the garage door closest to Cambridge St. (Carpentry Shop). If those times don't work, email the Help Desk.
Have a question or suggestion for a future Tech Corner? Email Sam Musher, Library Tech Teacher.
Social/Emotional Well-Being
Tip of the Week
Making mistakes is an important part of your student’s learning process. Sometimes this can be challenging, but each time a child has to work through a mistake they’ve made it allows them to move forward in their Social Emotional Learning. It can also be beneficial for them to hear of mistakes you have made, and how you have grown from them!
If you have any questions or concerns about how your student is doing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Guidance Counselor Shanika Boadu (email; 617.329.1002).
