December 2020

Hello Cambridgeport Families,

As you already may know, Cambridge metrics on the City's website
indicates the 7-day rolling average of new confirmed cases has surpassed
25 thresholds. The plan would then be to stay in remote learning until two
of the three metrics are under the established threshold for seven days in
a row. This means, in-person learners will switch to temporary full remote
learning starting Thursday, December 10th. Wednesday is already a
remote day for us all. This is the Cambridge Data Center link if you’d like to
access it - Cambridge COVID-19 Data Center. Teachers will send home
the materials with your students today and tomorrow. Many of these items
will need to be returned when we get back to in-person. Please do your
best to keep track of the items so they are available during remote
learning. The building will remain open 8AM – 3PM for families to pick up
needed materials.

You may also know that CPS continues to plan on returning more students
in person. Specifically, CPS is planning the return of grades 4 and 5 students. CPS is holding several virtual Family Listen Sessions set up to hear from you. Please use this link to access the family listening sessions.

I plan to hold a Cambridgeport family meeting to listen to questions, comments, or suggestions about going in-person. Please join me on Monday, December 14th, from 5:45PM to 7:15PM.
