Wednesday Schedule

Please note that because there was no school on Monday, this Wednesday will take on a Monday schedule. This means that students will not have their literacy or STEM block classes on that day but instead will have whichever core classes they were scheduled for on Monday.

Semester 2 Reminders

  • The spring semester and all the updated schedules and cohorts for all students starts next Monday, March 1st.
  • In-person students should have received confirmation about which mornings they will be coming in-person to school. If you did not receive this confirmation, please email Family Liaison, Julia Ho.
  • Students will be able to view their new spring semester schedules on Aspen and ask any questions in their virtual student orientation on Friday (2/26) morning during an extended advisory. In this orientation, in-person students will also go over important safety protocol.

Art, PE, Health Classes

In order to make sure that all students in all grades have access to each of these important content areas, while also limiting the cohorts educators are working with, we have divided the remainder of the school year into three rotations. Each grade will have one of the three content areas in each cycle. Please see below for the 5-week rotation schedule:

  • First rotation: March 1 - April 2
  • Second rotation: April 5 - May 14 (April 19 - 23 break)
  • Third rotation: May 17 - June 21

In 6th grade, it's PE / Health / Art, so 6th graders will have PE in the first rotation, Health second rotation, Art third rotation.

In 7th grade, it's Art / PE / Health, so 7th graders will have Art first rotation, PE second rotation, Health third rotation.

In 8th grade, it's Health / Art / PE, so 8th graders will have Health first rotation, Art second rotation, then PE third rotation.

RAUC TV returns with a second episode in season 2. Kids are getting better at shooting and editing, and we're quick enough that we should have 4 episodes in season 4! This is the public version, so share with the world. Or get your student to show you the school-only version that has some bonus footage! Watch here >>

Tech Corner

Please note NEW HOURS for the Mobile Help Desk! Starting March 1, the Help Desk will be open Mon.-Fri. NOON-4PM, and will be CLOSED Saturday. In other words, the last Saturday to take your computer to the Help Desk is this weekend, Sat., Feb. 27. The technicians weren't seeing enough people to justify staying open so many hours.

The location hasn't changed! They're located at CRLS. Come to the service windows beside the garage door, on Felton St. closest to Broadway. Look for the fluorescent pink signs hanging in the window.

Social/Emotional Well-being--Tip of the Week

“Transitions can be difficult for students. Knowing that there will be a shift in learning in the next few weeks, acknowledge your child’s feelings no matter what they are. Feelings are real and can’t be undone so when you name them, they can feel more manageable.”
