King School Science Week

Dance in Schools

Dance in the Schools
One classroom learned about immigration through Yiddish dance. Another linked dance movement to planetary characteristics. Dance in the Schools, a dance education program integrating movement with academic curriculum, just completed a successful six weeks of sessions in 50 Cambridge Public School classrooms. Spring Concert Schedules
JK-4 and 5th Grade Chorus Spring Concert

Rehearsal for JK-4 and Chorus Spring Concert
June 3 | Times TBA

5th grade Woodwinds, Brass, and Strings ONLY
June 2 | 6:30PM | Fitzgerald Theatre, CRLS

Students are expected in concert dress (Black on top and bottom, or black on bottom white on top) at 6PM at the Fitzgerald Theatre. They will rehearse from 6 - 6:30PM. Concert performance will begin at 6:30PM, should end around 7PM.*

All CHORUS students will perform on June 5 at 8:30AM in the MLK Gym.

Nature's Classroom

5th Grade Nature’s Classroom Field Trip
As you may know, the Nature's Classroom field trip is quickly approaching! The trip is scheduled for June 10th - 12th.

There will be a Parent Information Night for Monday, May 4th at 5PM. It will be held in room 118. A representative from Nature's Classroom will be here to tell you all about the program and to answer all of your questions. You will learn about accommodations and food, first aid and health services, what to pack, and the educational experiences your child will have. If you are considering sending your child on this two-night trip, we strongly recommend that you attend this informational session.

Film Fest

King Book to Film Fest
May 1, May 15 | 4 - 6PM
All proceeds from the Film Fest will go towards supporting the 5th grade overnight camping trip! After school students may attend. They must have the door fee and will be supervised by King staff. $5 door fee includes pizza and popcorn. Children must be with an adult. View the Schedule >>

Bikes

Safe Routes to School Program
Do you want your children to be able to walk or bike to school safely? Do you want to save time and money by using your car less frequently? The City of Cambridge is developing a Safe Routes to School program to support and encourage students who would like to walk or bike to school. Help us learn your thoughts about children walking and biking to school in Cambridge by completing our survey. It will take about five minutes and we ask that you complete a survey for each of your children. Please fill out survey by April 30th online or download the survey.

Cambridge Girls Softball
T-ball League is back starting Monday, May 4 at 5:30PM at Raymond Park (corner of Upland Road, Walden & Garden Streets).
