A Special Story!
Hello! My Name is Samantha and in October last year I had an assignment to write a scary story. It is about a doll that a girl gets as a birthday present. Then something very bad happens on Halloween. The class thought it was good and also very scary, so my mom submitted it to a magazine called the Magic Dragon to get published. Just a few weeks ago a magazine arrived in the mail. It had my story in it! I brought the magazine to school. It was really amazing. See story >>

Tobin Snapshots
Room 283 students are having fun at recess! Now the weather is warm and pleasant, so it’s a perfect time to get outside and play. During recess, children have fun, get much exercise, and learn how to be friends in our classroom community.

Language Justice and Access – Part 2
Thursday, April 29, 2021 10AM-12:30PM
Presenters: Family Policy Council’s "Language Justice Working Group" along with Jess Weaver and Parisa Parsa from Cortico. Following the fall session on Language Justice and Access, the Family Policy Council decided to investigate ways to develop city-wide supports and systems to ensure language justice and to reduce language access barriers for families and providers. They created a working group to research what is currently happening in Cambridge and in other communities, and they will be sharing this information with us. In addition, there will be an opportunity to talk with each other in small groups to share thoughts, experiences, and feedback to inform strategic priorities and shape the solutions. We are excited to be working with Cortico, which provides technology, consultation, and facilitation for organizations engaged in conversation-driven community engagement and decision-making.
Preregistration is required for this free event. The Zoom link will be sent to those who register. Please register here by April 26, 2021. Thank you in advance for honoring this date so that we can plan for the appropriate number of facilitators needed for our small group conversations.
