Art News!
Last year in Ms. Yuliya’s Art class Maggie Rushkin (Room 215) made a very special piece of art: a ceramic mask of her favorite pony, Doc. Maggie wanted to give the mask to her trainer, who was working in Florida for the winter. But the mask needed to stay at the school for the end-of-year art show. Instead, Maggie got to ride the pony and was champion in her division!
Fast-forward a year, and thanks to Ms. Yuliya’s careful planning and packing, the mask was able to get to the trainer. Not only that, a picture of the mask appeared in a national magazine called “The Chronicle of the Horse,” as one of the finalist in their Junior Art Gallery competition. Congratulations, Maggie and thank you, Ms. Yuliya!
