Juneteenth Celebration!
We had a lovely Juneteenth Celebration at City Hall and at the Starlight this past Saturday!
Retirement Ceremony!
Last year, we had three amazing staff members retire:
Ms. Fay Chaisson - our former School Clerk
Ms. Mary Frawley - our former Family Liaison
Ms. Marie Klein - our former Speech Pathologist
Due to Covid, we were unable to celebrate these staff members and give them a traditional Tobin send off. With the help of Friends of Tobin, we were able to have an original song composed in their honor. Our spectacular Music Teachers, Mr. John Martha-Reynolds and Mr. Kilian Mooney, have been practicing this song with the students. You have probably heard it. If you haven’t, please have your child sing it – it is a very catchy tune.
Artist Spotlight & More

Tobin Snapshots: Room 284 Graduation
Room 284 celebrated their Kindergarten Graduation on Thursday, June 17th. The K students prepared for the day over the past few weeks. They read a poem that the class created together and then their own original poems.

Tobin Snapshots: Science Water Exploration!
The JK and K students in Room 284 have been learning about water – how it flows, how long does a small cup take to fill a large cup, what sinks and floats in it, and much more. This fun science exploration helped keep us cool on the hot hot days.
Reminder for 5th Graders
Reminder! Fifth graders, please bring in your band/orchestra instrument if you have not already.
Tobin Snapshots: Virtual Move-Up Day
The LE teachers hosted a virtual move-up day for K students moving to Lower Elementary earlier this month. It was a wonderful chance for the kids to get to hear from all of the LE teachers and see their K peers all on one Google Meet! The Upper Elementary teachers also virtually hosted the 3rd graders moving to UE in the fall. It is an exciting move for all of our students transitioning to the next level.
Step Counting Challenge
Dear Tobin Family,
Happy Last Week of School! Please check out the attached picture to see what we accomplished together through the Step Counting Challenge, as well as a thank you for all your support.
Throughout all the Google Meets, crazy weather, and pandemic challenges, I can't say thank you enough to you and your students for your positive attitude and belief in our community. We're stronger because of it!
Gratefully,
Tim Gill
