Message from the Principal

Good Afternoon,

Happy (almost) first day of Autumn!

This morning we introduced our Social Contract to scholars and staff at our second virtual assembly! It is a scholar developed list of four guiding principles designed to guide our community, help us reach our goals and keep each other safe. This year’s Social Contract is:

  • Be kind, helpful, social and academic scholars.
  • Question authority when necessary at appropriate times.
  • Believe in yourself and pursue your goals.
  • Be respectful to others and the building.

Tomorrow scholars will participate in STEM Book talks! We will meet during extended advisory to discuss their math selected summer reading book. Scholars and staff have been reading books that highlight areas in STEM fields and tell stories of young adults finding a passion in math and science. Be sure to ask your scholar how it went!

REMINDERS
We would like to remind families that we have an abundance of masks available for scholars. If your child is in need, please remind them to ask an adult. We also want to remind families to provide scholars with water bottles, if you need a water bottle please reach out to Will Adams. Lastly, if you still have a chromebook or charger please return it at your earliest convenience.
