Friends of Tobin 1st Meeting
Dear Tobin Parents,
You are invited to join the Friends of Tobin virtual monthly meeting taking place this Thursday, October 7 from 7-8PM.
This is our very first meeting of the school year! We will meet virtually on the first Thursday of each month. We are always looking for new parent voices and encourage you to attend! Please see attached for more information about Friends of Tobin and how to get involved.
During this Thursday's meeting, we will talk about our goals for the year, discuss the fun events we will host, review our budget, and brainstorm ideas as a group for additional ways we can help the school community. Please join!

Mr. Kenney and his pal Puppy visits Room 5 to launch the Second Step Curriculum, a social-emotional learning program that teaches various social and emotional skills such as emotional recognition and management, empathy and problem solving. Tobin Snapshots: The Absorbent Mind
In her book The Absorbent Mind, Dr. Maria Montessori wrote, “The child seeks for independence by means of work; an independence of body and mind.” Children's House 3 students have been busy with a variety of Montessori activities. The students are becoming responsible and independent learners.

Tobin Snapshots: Kindergarten Leaders
The kindergarten year is the third and final year in the Children's House program. In Children's House 3, our Kindergarteners have become leaders and role models for their peers. The Kindergarteners enjoy using various Montessori materials and also learn through teaching younger students.

Healthy Snack of the Week
Tomato & Cucumber Mixup! Chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, white beans, a little lime juice and a pinch of salt. Tip: Any white bean will do - try chickpeas, cannelini beans, navy beans, etc.
