November 2021

From Our Principal

Hello Cambridgeport Families,

As of Monday, November 8th, we have been in school for 41 days. Our teachers do a great job of sharing updates with you regularly regarding classroom-specific teaching and learning updates. Please continue to read those updates to learn more about what is happening in your child’s classroom. This update is more about school-wide happenings. Cambridge Public Schools also has a website HERE full of resources and information that is important and helpful to know.

In my end of the school year and beginning of the school year communication letters, I shared that we are engaging teachers in Project-Based Learning Professional Development and that will work with our school community on creating a Cambridgeport School Mission Statement. Our Project-Based Learning professional is going well and our teachers are working hard on developing Project-Based Units. They will share more information regarding these units in their regular communication with you.

Still Time to Sign Up for School Visits

During the week of November 8th, we are offering parents/caregivers a chance to visit the inside of the school. We will be inviting folks inside in grade level groups, and the visits will be led by Principal Genteen, Vice Principal Ms. Sturgis, and Family Liaison Kristen.

We have heard from many of you that it has been hard not being able to see inside your child's classroom and we hope you find this opportunity helpful.

1. Due to the COVID safety protocols, we can only have one member per family during these visits. We are limited to the number of visitors in the building at one time. No children please.
2. Masks must be worn at all times.
3. Photos can not be taken due to media release protocols.
