Look for iReady Test Results in the mail
The iReady Test is a new tool the district is using to see how students are doing in reading and math.
- At the beginning of the year, all students took this test to give teachers information on how to support them. They will take it again in January and May to help us see how they have grown.
- Your student’s test results will be mailed to you this week. Please look out for it!
- Click here for more information from Ms. Craven about iReady.

Holidays Past and Future
Veterans Day (11/11/21)
We want to acknowledge the service of all Veterans. We believe this holiday is an occasion to reflect on the Veterans in our nation--and world, honestly. What have they given of themselves (or are giving), why, how are they supported upon return from combat, and how are we individually and collectively working to ensure a future where no one needs to be a veteran of war? Advisors were asked to find some time last week to encourage this reflection with their advisees.
Thanksgiving/Native American Heritage Month
As we look towards the Thanksgiving holiday, we at RAUC both celebrate the spirit of giving thanks that so many cultures share; we also recognize that for many with Native American origin, the Thanksgiving story as traditionally told can be a painful reminder of historic and current injustices. Indeed, many Native people view it as a day of mourning. If you are not familiar with the complicated history of this holiday, the district History and Social Studies Department recommends the All My Relations podcast "ThanksTaking or ThanksGiving."
- November is Native American Heritage Month. While the history of Indigenous Americans is not a focus of upper school curriculum, all advisors and teachers have resources that include ways to celebrate this rich heritage.

Healthy Snack of the Week
Cheesy Broccoli! Broccoli florets topped with shredded cheddar cheese (microwaved to melt and soften). Tip: Instead of broccoli, try cauliflower or black beans and tomatoes!
