CommUnity Building Field Trip to the Movies

We are so excited to revive this RAUC tradition of going as an entire school to watch a movie together on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 24!).

Details:

  • CommUnity Building Field Trip to the MoviesWe will leave from RAUC at 9:05AM and walk to Apple Cinemas.
  • We plan on returning to RAUC around 12PM for lunch.
  • Students will be dismissed at 12:55PM
  • NOTE: Families have given extra to ensure this is a true commUnity trip (Thank you all so much for your generosity!), and we have enough (and more*) to ensure that every student can go whether they’ve turned in money or not...So even if you have not turned in money, don’t worry--your student is welcome!
  • Any extra funds will go to helping make end-of-year trips accessible to all students.

All students must dress according to the weather forecast! Check out these slides with more guidelines for the field trip that was shared with your students.

We do need permission slips--you can find it here if you haven’t signed and turned it in yet!

Reminder: Does your student need to leave early? Please call the school!

Reminder: Does your student need to leave early? Please call the school!Families: here are just a few reminders for our school policies on early dismissals:

  • If your student needs to leave school early for any reason, please make sure to notify the school by calling 617.349.4060.
  • If your student is feeling sick during the school day, they must see the school nurse. The nurse or a school staff member will then contact you if your student needs to leave school early.
  • Students should not be calling families directly to be picked up without first letting school staff know.
  • This helps ensure that we know that each student is safe and accounted for. Thank you for your help in reminding our students of this policy!
