Winter Session Activities: Reminder to approve your child’s registration

  • Last week, students signed up for winter session activities during advisories (click here for the choices!).
  • As a reminder, when students register for an after school activity through our new activities portal, parents/caregivers receive an automatic email notification from [email protected] with a link to approve the registration.
    • Parents/caregivers must approve in order for the registration to be complete.
    • Please look out for any emails!
  • If your student has not been able to log in to the activities portal, please make sure they let their advisor know!

CPS Computer Science Student Challenge Contest–Deadline Dec. 31st

CPS Computer Science Student Challenge CompetitionFor the 2nd year and inspired by other school districts, CPS is hosting its Computer Science Student Challenge Contest! Students can submit entries until Dec. 31st. Winners from each grade band will be selected randomly from entries that meet the criteria of the rules and challenges. All entries that follow the contest and challenge rules will be eligible to be featured on the CPS website!

Holiday Food Drive--a huge success!

Holiday Food DriveOver 300 items have been donated for our holiday food drive- that is more than 3x the original goal! A special shout out to our Ms. Marilyn and our RAUC student council for organizing and managing all the donations and to many of you who donated generously! All proceeds will be going to Arlington Eats, an organization that provides meals and other necessities to people in need.

Just for Fun: Photos from Spirit week!

Spirit weekYesterday, we started off Spirit Week, sponsored by the RAUC Student Council, cozily in our pajamas for Pajama Day. Today, around the halls at RAUC, you can find a frog, reindeer, octopus, turkey and more- all in crazy hat form! We hope to see favorite characters and sports teams tomorrow for Character day and Thursday for Sports Day!

COVID-19 Vaccine Opportunities

Looking for vaccine opportunities for your family or yourself? Go to VaxFinder to find a location near you. VaxAbilities is hosting disability-friendly vaccine clinics around the state. Additional staff will be at these clinics to provide skilled support to individuals with disabilities and sensory support needs. Register here >>

Free Internet for Qualifying Families

Free Internet through CPSCambridge Public Schools continues to partner with Comcast’s Internet Essentials Program to connect CPS families to free internet. Eligible families can receive free internet service through June 30, 2022.

Your family is eligible if:

  • Qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch
  • Live in a Cambridge zip code where
  • Comcast Internet Service is available.
  • Have not had Comcast Internet Service in the last 90 days.
  • Households who owe money to Comcast may still qualify if approved by 6/30/22

Eligible families should use the personalized voucher code they received by email last week to apply online or call 844.963.0178. If you need help in applying, please contact Family Liaison Julia Ho.

Reminder: COVID-19 Travel Policies

Making travel plans for winter break? Please make sure to check the recently updated district COVID-19 safety guidelines below for domestic and international travel. Note that if your child is not vaccinated and travels internationally, they must quarantine for 7-10 days depending on testing before returning to school.
