Meet Krissy Robinson, the Social Justice, Health Equity Specialist
From Ms. Robinson: My name is Krissy Robinson, and I am the Social Justice, Health Equity Specialist. I work for Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) in the school health dept. In this role, I will be working on a health equity QI project around chronic absenteeism and will be reaching out to families with high rates of absenteeism. Oftentimes attendance can be impacted by a wide variety of social issues and I want to touch base with each family identified to provide support and resources, and if need be connect you back with your school community for more support.

COVID Updates
Our school community had 8 positive COVID cases identified through outside testing and reported over April Break. No additional scholars were impacted or close contacts because we were away for break.

This week we had 1 positive COVID case identified via pool testing. Families at the impacted grade level received a separate communication from CSUS.

If you are interested in receiving weekly at-home rapid tests for your scholar, opt-in through the CPS Family Portal or by contacting Ms. Howard. Rapid tests should be administered Friday mornings before school. Positive results should be reported to the Main Office.

Thank you for entrusting us with your scholar’s learning. We understand that you have choices regarding your child’s education, and appreciate you choosing CSUS. Your partnership and trust are a huge part of what makes CSUS spell SUCCESS!

Eid Mubarak to our families who will be celebrating next Monday.

Have a wonderful rest of the week!
Christen

Valentine’s Day Teacher Appreciation Breakfast Delivered!

Valentine?s Day Teacher Appreciation Breakfast Delivered! The Cambridge Street Parent Caregiver Organization would like to thank everyone who showed their love for our amazing staff in February. We raised just over $790 in wonderful donations. The hot breakfast items we purchased with donations plus the many baked goods, juices, and fruit donated were very well received by the school staff. Many said it was "amazing"! Thank you for making this event possible.

Our Bertucci’s fundraiser in mid-February raised $66.68. Thanks to everyone who participated!!

Join the PCO! We will be having a meeting soon to discuss upcoming events that will need our funding, such as the 8th grade trip, field day, and graduation. If you’d like to help out, please contact Tina.
