Tyriq, in Ms. Sumi's class, made the front page news! He is leading The North Cambridge Little Baseball League in its 70th season with a special parade on a gorgeous Sunday. Tyriq is in front with the green shirt! We are so proud of our little tiger cub!
Cambridge-Somerville Asian Festival
Cambridge Families of Asian Descent, Pan Asian Club, Asian Educators Resource Group, and Somerville Asian & Asian American Family Network present the 2022 Cambridge-Somerville Asian Festival on May 20 & 21!

Library Dates to Remember
May 31 - June 7: Last week to check out books.
June 10: ALL books need to be returned to the library.
June 13 - 17: Book Swap Week. All students pick donated books to keep.
June 14: Notices of books still out sent home.
Tobin Snapshots
Ms. Maria DiGiovanni, a preschool teacher, visited our Children's House 3 classroom to introduce origami, the art of paper folding. Ms. Maria demonstrated how to use just one sheet of paper and to fold it to create intricate designs such as a bird, a flower, a frog. The students were excited to learn the art of origami! Thank you, Ms. Maria, for sharing your expertise with our young learners.

Workshop for Families
We are excited to announce that The Village will be holding a workshop for families called Using Equity to Uplift Caregiver Voice. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 18th, from 6:30 to 7:30PM, and will be in Spanish with English subtitles.

VLUS Triad White Caregivers Working Toward Anti-Racism
Hello G&P, Haggerty, Tobin, and VLUS Families,
Please join the FINAL meeting of the year for the monthly affinity group for VLUS Triad White Caregivers Working Toward Anti-Racism.
The affinity group reads and discusses various texts throughout the year in order to address our own unconscious biases and to take an active role in fighting white supremacy in our schools, communities, and ourselves. At the last meeting of the year, we will reflect on our work together and begin planning for our work next year.
