Fifth Graders Ballroom Debut
For the past 8 weeks our 5th grade students have been learning to ballroom dance as a part of the Physical Education curriculum. On an evening in late May, they joined together with four other elementary schools, in the CRLS gymnasium, to show off all of their hard work and effort in learning several complicated dances! Particular recognition was given to Lili and Maya! Well done to all our 5th graders!

Friends of Haggerty End of Year Appeal
You should have found an appeal letter in your child's backpack for the Friends of Haggerty end of year appeal. Two-thirds of the money we raise to enrich our schools comes from our two annual appeals. Our support really matters! Learn more >>

Library

Library Corner
By Sarah Novogradsky
In library 4th and 5th graders have been learning the difference between primary and secondary sources. Ms. Kathleen Barker of the Massachusetts Historical Society visited with fifth graders and described some of the famous artifacts housed at the Society’s library. Students each received a copy of a love letter written by John Adams to Abigail before their marriage. They also saw a bottle of tea leaves scooped from Boston Harbor the day after the Boston Tea Party.

Thank You to the Friends of Haggerty
A BIG thank you to FOH for additional funds for library books. Your support enables me to purchase new books long after our book budget is depleted.
