Greetings from Julie Craven

Dear RAUC Families,

I am writing this week to make sure you have marked your calendars for the dates to meet with your student’s teachers at our fall and spring Learning Partners Conferences. Please look for specific dates in this newsletter. Note--you can’t sign up yet! We will let you know when on-line scheduling begins in a few weeks. But we know advanced notice of dates can be helpful given the busy lives we all lead.

The goal of these conferences is communication that helps family and school work with deepened cohesion to support student success and well-being. Fall conferences happen in November right after the end of the first quarter. The particular goal of this time is to help families make sense of first quarter progress reports in support of growth before the first semester report cards come out at the end of January. The spring conferences are in March, mid-way into the third quarter, to allow families and teachers an opportunity to check in on how a student is doing since the start of the second semester. Teachers very much value these opportunities to connect with you and look forward to meeting with you in the fall and spring.

Yours in partnership,

Julie Craven, Head of School
