snow on plants

Greetings from Julie Craven

Dear RAUC Families,

What with our unexpected snow days, it seems I was just writing you! I hope you were able to stay warm and enjoy the beauty of the snow blanketing our city.

We have a short week again next week, as we take Monday off to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This holiday offers us a time to reflect on what it takes to aim for that highest ideal, a society that is truly grounded in unity and compassion and equality for all. Advisors are finding time to reflect with students on the ideals embedded in this day. As one semester ends and another starts, one quote by Dr. King seemed particularly apropos to our mission of supporting each student in achieving to the highest of their ability: If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

Peace,

Julie Craven, Head of School

Middle School Volleyball Championship
This Wednesday, January, 10th, there will be a Middle School Volleyball Tournament at the CRLS gym. RAUC volleyball players will be dismissed from classes at 1:55PM to board a bus to CRLS. Ms. Sanchez will be supervising the event, so please call/text her if you have any questions (617.866.8876).

We have dedicated a room for the dhuhr prayer. Please have your student check in with the office if they would like to know more about this.

Lost & Found Clean-Out
We have acquired quite a collection of clothing – from winter jackets to mittens, lunchboxes to t-shirts! Please come by the RAUC office by Friday if your student is missing something. We plan to donate unclaimed clothing.
