Summer Planning Workshops at RAUC
Today, Tuesday, March 27, all 6th, 7th and 8th graders participated in a Summer Workshop – a session devoted to hearing about all their options, hearing from each other, and thinking individually about their goals and plans for the summer. Workshops are facilitated by summer program providers in the community, so students hear from at least 8 different summer programs that are options for them that summer. Ask your child about what they heard, and who they met!
At RAUC, the point person to talk to about summer plans and applications is Justin McNulty, Health Teacher ([email protected]). Please reach out if you have questions! The Middle School Network also provides resources to families and young people to help with summer plans. Please check out the following resources to see what was shared with students:

Sound Exploration: Pick Up An Instrument & Play!
Come jam and make some music after school with an instrument of your choice! You can bring your own instrument, make your own instrument, play the instruments we have here at the school, or just sit and listen! NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! ALL ARE WELCOME! Some of those instruments include piano, guitar, bass, drums, and some others. Pick an instrument, learn to play something in just A FEW MINUTES, jam with some friends, and let’s R.A.U.C.
The group will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3-4PM. Ask Mr. Fairbanks for more details! [email protected]
