Cafe Night is Coming!
Next Thursday, April 12th at 5PM in the cafeteria, we will have our sixth annual Cafe Night complete with music and poetry from RAUC students. This is a night for students to express themselves beyond the walls of the classroom. See them shine, get to know their talents, and be prepared to be moved! We are encouraging students who love to write raps or poems, play an instrument, sing or dance to sign up with Mr. Dewitte or Ms. Gonzalez, either in person or they can drop a note off in the office. Sign ups accepted this week into the beginning of next. Students can perform works by other artists or compose original pieces. Note: There is no admission fee and families are welcome to attend! Families of RAUC will be selling light refreshments.

English/Language Arts MCAS

6th Graders RAUC-ed Our Music Showcase!
All 6th graders performed on Monday morning in front of current 5th graders as part of our 5th-6th transition. Peabody and Baldwin 5th graders came to the RAUC auditorium and listened while Band, Chorus, Orchestra and Music Studio groups each showcased what our future 6th graders can look forward to in the different music pathways. They performed beautifully and we are grateful for their leadership. Ask your 6th grader how it felt!

8th Graders to Biogen
It's time for the 8th grade annual science field trip to Biogen, a biotech research company in Cambridge. In a continuation of their study of genetics, students will engage in a hands-on lab to study sickle cell anemia. Because the lab only holds 30 students at a time, the trip is spread out over four days: April 3rd - 6th. Students will be leaving RAUC around 9:05 and returning between 1:30 and 2:00 each day. Please make sure your student has returned the permission slip if you haven’t already. We are grateful for this community partnership!
