Greetings from Julie Craven
I hope you each had a wonderful vacation week. Happy holidays to those who celebrate Passover or Easter. For me it was nice to get away and it was also nice to come back Monday and see the smiles on student faces as they reconnected to their school community.

We are starting our final quarter and the calendar can get busy! Please make sure your calendars are marked for end of the year events. Read more >>

MCAS Continues this Week with 8th Grade ELA Testing
A good night’s sleep, a good breakfast, and getting to school on time are excellent ways to help your student be relaxed and ready to do their best. Please see the schedule below for all RAUC MCAS testing days.

Mandatory 8th Grade DC Trip Parent/Guardian Meetings This Week
You should have received a message from Mr. Oliveira (and your student!) reminding you that for a student to attend the DC trip, a parent or guardian MUST attend an information meeting. The first meeting happened this morning; the second will be Wednesday at 6PM in the auditorium. In addition to essential information, you will get forms that must be filled out for your student to attend.

Courageous Conversations
Session #4 Today
Join us again on Tuesday 4/23 at the RAUC/Peabody Library at 5:30PM for dinner and 6-8PM for discussion & childcare (RSVP for childcare). This conversation will use the Socratic method to promote understanding through clarification, in group discussions where no one is the expert, and questions are used to reflect on others’ perspectives. In small groups, we will brainstorm questions around themes such as “equitable community,” and then use questioning as a means of delving deeper into each of our thinking around the question. We encourage all school community members to come whether this is your first or fourth time!

Third Quarter Progress Reports
A reminder that progress reports went live on the Friday before break and reports were mailed to families without internet access. If you have had trouble accessing your student’s reports please reach out to Taraneh Ahmadi (617.349.4060 x2041; [email protected])

6th Grade Families: Dental Screening
