Collecting ALL school laptops and chargers NEXT WEEK

Collecting ALL school laptops and chargers NEXT WEEK

  • We are collecting ALL school laptops and chargers the week of June 21.
  • IF your student doesn’t know where these are, please help them look now!
  • FAMILIES:  Please note you will have to pay for any equipment not returned or that is broken due to clear negligence beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Leaving early? Make sure to return your laptop and charger before you leave!
  • Friendly reminder: support your student in bringing their fully charged laptop to school EVERY day!
    • We often run out of loaner laptops quickly.
    • That means a student who forgot their laptop has a more difficult time completing work on time!

Students: Please return your library books!

RAUC students currently have 217 books out, which would cost something like $3500 to replace! Families: We really need your help to get them back! Thank you!

Goodbye and Thank You to Departing Staff! Welcome to our new staff!

Departing staff
Our current guidance counselor Ms Evans and Chorus and Urban Legends teacher Danielle Kleeman will not be returning to RAUC next year.

  • Ms. Evans has made strong connections to students and families and has helped so many young people face a challenging year.
  • Ms. Kleeman did wonderful work with our students. We also thank her for the successful Spring Concert.

We will miss them and wish them all the best!

Welcome new staff!
Tracy DomitrzTracy Domitrz
is so excited to join the RAUC community next year as the guidance counselor. Originally from metro Detroit, Tracy has lived in Somerville for 15 years but still loves talking about being from Michigan! She has been a school counselor for 7 years and absolutely loves working with middle school students! Tracy is counting down the days to start at RAUC and get to know each student, support them and their families, and be a part of such a wonderful place.

Kilian MooneyWe are excited to announce that Kilian Mooney will be taking over Ms. Kleeman’s position as the Chorus and Urban Legends teacher. He is an experienced music teacher in the district. He also does his own singing and instrumental performances! Here is Mr. Mooney’s introduction of himself to our community:

  • Hello RAUC students, staff, and caregivers! My name is Mr. Mooney, and I'm super excited to be joining you all in the fall as the new teacher for Chorus and Urban Legends. As a singer and instrumentalist, I look forward to doing both again at the middle school level, while also continuing to teach elementary music at Peabody. I hear great things about your school community and the music you make together! I can't wait to be a part of it! See you in September!
