The following is a message from Superintendent of Schools Jeff Young and Police Commissioner Robert Haas:
Early
Friday morning, the Cambridge Police Department notified the Cambridge
Public Schools of another anonymous email threat for Friday, December 4,
2015. This is another threat of gun violence and it is directed at
“cambridge mass middle schools.” Once again we are taking the threat
seriously, proceeding with the utmost caution, and informing the public.
We will continue the same procedures that were in place on Thursday, December 3. Once again:
- Teams
from the Police Department and CPS will walk through and assess all CPS
school buildings prior to the start of the school day.
- Students will enter school only through the front door to their school building.
- Police officers will be present in all school buildings throughout the day.
If
anyone sees anything suspicious or unusual, please call the Cambridge
Police at 911 (emergency) or 617.349.3300 (non-emergency).
